Scholarship

The Julie Daniel Memorial Scholarship at Orange Coast College was established by her friends and family who loved her, and believes as Julie did that “The Beauty of a Good Life is Forever”. So, while Julie’s life ended tragically at the age of 28 on September 7, 1990 at the hands of a drunken driver, her death does not mark the end of her influence. Her good life lives on in the contributions that will be made in the Health Sciences by the recipients of this perpetual scholarship.
All contributions to the Julie Daniel Memorial Scholarship are tax deductible and will be promptly acknowledged by the Orange Coast College Foundation. Contributions via check or money order can be sent to:

The annual income from the scholarship endowment is distributed to worthy Orange Coast College students who are studying for careers in the Health Sciences. Funds for the scholarship are invested along with donations to over 100 other scholarships and endowment accounts in the Orange Coast College Foundation’s $3 million plus endowment. The funds are managed by the Foundation’s finance committee in a safe and prudent manner that seeks to minimize risk, maximize return, and provide a steady source of permanent income for each individual account.
